Morgan Gress, President

Morgan Gress joined AU PRSSA as a sophomore in the School of Communication. Since then she has helped with events and was last year’s fundraising & finance director. This year she will be a senior majoring in Public Communication with minors in French and Art History. Morgan has held public relations internships at Story Partners, the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, and University Communications. She was also the communications director for AU’s Student Government where she promoted events and campus-wide initiatives to 6,000 undergraduate students and university administrators. One of Morgan’s favorite parts of PRSSA is meeting students at AU and from other chapters who are passionate about communication and PR. Julie Sheiber, Membership & Recruitment Director

Julie Sheiber is a senior majoring in Public Communication with a minor in Marketing. Her previous internships include the Madison Square Garden Company in New York City and the National Cherry Blossom Festival Inc. in Washington, DC.  She has been an active member of PRSSA since her sophomore year and is looking forward to a great last year with PRSSA.  When she isn’t busy being a student, Julie is a true pop culture enthusiast and a reality TV junkie. You can reach Julie at membership@auprssa.org.

Kate Froehlich, Publicity Director

Kate Froehlich is a junior studying Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. She just joined PRSSA this year, and, in addition to serving as the Publicity Director, is also a member of the Eagle Communications team. Kate has interned on political campaigns, at her county government, and at Crosby Marketing. She enjoys getting tangible experience in public relations, and meeting students with similar interests. Kent Hiebel, Regional Conference Director

Kent Hiebel is a senior majoring in CLEG (communications, legal institutions, economics and government) and minoring in mathematics. During his time at AU, Kent has served as the student government’s executive in charge of communications, marketing, outreach, and recruitment. In addition, Kent has participated in the School of Public Affair’s Leadership Program, the DC Delta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon, and AU’s all-male a cappella group, On a Sensual Note. Kent has interned in the communications and marketing division of the Human Rights Campaign, as the Public Affairs and Creative Services intern at the Glover Park Group, and now works as a press intern on Capitol Hill. Jett Choquette, Eagle Communications Director

Jett Choquette is a senior at American University studying Public Communication and Spanish. She is the Coordinator for American University’s School of Communication Student Ambassador program where she helps recruit prospective students and mentor first year students. With internship experience at a government agency, a small communication firm, a start-up website, an industry association, and a Spanish language news website Choquette explored many approaches to public relations and had the opportunity to use the skills she developed in her classes.
