Last week, Eagle Comm had the opportunity to brainstorm on a client plan with Washington Media Group (WMG) President Robert Johnson and Director of Special Projects Crystal Zhao. Over some pizza and light refreshments, our two firms collaborated on a client plan that would combine the expertise of WMG with the creative brainpower of Eagle Comm.
Our brainstorming session covered everything from audience engagement, stakeholder analysis, overarching strategies, and a list of possible tactics for the client. It was an invaluable experience for our members to have a stake in designing a real-world public relations plan. Understanding the effort and mentality that goes into these types of public relations plans require is part of the professional experience our firm hopes to provide its members before entering the profession.
Our meeting last week marks the most recent opportunity for our members to work under the professional guidance of a high-functioning public relations firm like WMG. Since partnering with WMG only two months ago, Eagle Comm has assisted with client work ranging from social media auditing, competitor research, and creating graphics of research results.
The opportunity to work alongside WMG is unique for our chapter and for PRSSA chapters across the nation. If the success so far is any indicator for the future, then we look forward to our continued partnership with WMG.
